Entry for June 14, 2006

They are here! We just got the professional pictures. It will take awhile to upload them. They are slowing going. You can print them out yourself or let us know what you want and we will get them printed for you.

The tabletop cameras will be posted as soon as we get them developed. We should have them on Friday or Saturday.

Again, if you have pictures, please send them to us. We are happy for all of the pictures that we have received. We are seeing how the wedding went and how much fun everybody had.

We are both back at work. Work has been hard. LeAnn starts the nursing program in August for a 18 month stint. She will be going to school 6 days per week. Between part-time work and school, we will not see each other very much. However, we will endure and look forward to all of the time we will have together after school is done.

David is back to installing cable full-time. After a week in San Diego, it was hard to go back. However, he is getting used to the hot weather again. He will be drinking lots of water and working hard.

Entry for June 10, 2006

Today we went to Best Buy to get a new memory card for the camera. We figured out on the honeymoon that the one we had was just way too small. We were having to dump the pictures 1 or 2 times per day. We had to be very careful about what we took. Now we don't have to worry about it, as the new memory card will handle approximately 600 pictures.

We took our parents to the Melting Pot for dinner. We had a cheese fondue, a salad, dessert fondue, a champagne toast, and wine. We all enjoyed the food and there was a little bit to take home.

After The Melting Pot, we went over to Doug and Abby Totten's house (David's Parents) to open gifts. We would like to thank everyone for the gifts. Shortly (as soon as we get a chance), we will be sending out thank you cards. We want to make sure everybody who gave us a gift gets one. However, we mainly wanted everyone to know how much we appreciate their generosity and their attendance of our special day. We are truely greatful for the wonderful family and friends we have.

We hope that everyone had a good time at the wedding and the reception. We thank everyone for the great sendoff that we got. (P.S. Whoever decorated the car, thanks.......)

We will be posting more pictures as we get them (professional pictures will be up shortly). If you have any pictures from the wedding and/or reception, please e-mail them to mailto:david.totten@cox.net or call us to pick them up. We want to see and share ALL of the pictures taken with everybody. We both want to allow everybody to get whatever pictures they want. We have updated the pictures so they are listed in the order taken. We also have added a few couple pictures we had taken while on the honeymoon. We scanned them in today. Please enjoy these and those you give or send us.

Entry for June 9, 2006

We got home late last night after 4 beautiful days in San Diego. We arrived home to find two very happy puppy dogs waiting for us. Max and Lucky did not want to leave our side. They just wanted us to scratch them and they wanted to give us kisses.

We spent most of the day running around getting LeAnn's name change done. We went down to the courthouse to get a certified copy of the marriage license. Then we went to Social Security to get the name changed there. Then we went to the bank to do the name change there. We went up to Steve and Donna's to visit them as well. Chica was quite happy to see us.

We also went to the drive-in. We saw "Over the Hedge". It was funny and entertaining. It was playing with the Da Vinci Code, which neither one of us wanted to see. We came back home to two happy dogs and went to bed.

Tomorrow, we are taking our parents out to dinner. They don't know where, and we are not telling. It will be a complete suprise to them where ever we go. We are not going to mention where here either Image. We will say where we went in tomorrow's blog, which may be one of the last ones for a while.

Entry for June 08, 2006

Today we had a leisurely morning at the hotel. We then went to breakfast at a little bistro near the museum of modern art. After breakfast we walked down to the Midway and explored. It took us nearly 2 1/2 hours to see almost everything there. After the Midway we checked out of our hotel and had one last meal at Anthony's fishette. Yum! After lunch we walked through the Maritime museum. We saw the Star of India, the HMS Suprise, and a foxtrot class soviet submarine. We also took one last walk down to Seaport Village. I talked David into riding the Carousel with me. We are now hanging out in the hotel lobby for about a half hour and then it it off to the airport for a late flight home. It has been a wonderful honeymoon, but it will be good to be home and hug the puppy dogs. :)

Entry for June 07, 2006

Today we spent the morning relaxing around the hotel. At lunch time we walked down to Seaport Village and had lunch at Busters. The pizza was great and came on a two foot long surfboard. If you ever come here we would highly recommend it. After lunch we walked down to the gaslamp district and looked around. We saw the Hard Rock Cafe, Lucky's Dog Boutique, the Ghiradelli Chocolate Store, and of course several Starbucks. In the late afternoon we went on a harbor cruise and saw Coronado Island, the navy shipyards, as well as the seals training grounds. After the harbor cruise we had dinner at Anthony's fish grotto. The clam chowder and the shrimp were excellent, but we both agreed that we enjoyed sitting out on the patio at the fishette just as much if not better. We did not make it to the Midway today, but will hit that tomorrow as well as the maritime museum. Then it is to the airport for an 8:00pm flight back to Tucson.

We got up at 7:ooam this morning and had a quick breakfast of danishes and juice at the hotel cafe. Then we were off to catch the trolley to Old Town. In Old Town we switched to a bus that would take us right to the gates of Sea World. We rode in with some of the employees and were at the park at 9:30am. Sea World was a lot of fun and I think we saw pretty much everything in the park (some things multiple times) I feel like we walked 10 miles today! Although David says it was only about 6. We left the park and were back at the hotel around 6:oopm. We caught most of the Wildcats softball game and saw them beat Northwestern for the Championship. GO CATS! Then we went back to Anthony's patio for a late dinner. We are really enjoying the seafood here. David had a seafood salad wrap and I had the clams and chips. Again we were pooped out after the long day and went back to the hotel to relax. Tomorrow we will take our harbor cruise and explore the Midway.

We were up at 4:00am this morning so that we can get to the airport on time. We have the first flight of the day out to San Diego. The flight was delayed a bit in landing due to a thick fog over the city. The hotel is just a 10 minute shuttle ride from the airport and is right on the bay across from the cruise ship terminal and Anthony's fish grotto. We can also see the maritime museum and the Midway from our balcony. Took a little walk to explore. Went to Seaport Village, had a late lunch at a little deli and did some shopping. David forgot a belt and was having some problems with his pants trying to fall down, so we found one for him at poquitos. I bought a purse that I could sling over my shoulder since I had only brought one that was hand held. After exploring Seaport Village we were pooped out and decided to go back to the hotel and take a nap. Woke up from our nap at about 6:30pm and realized that we had slept away most of the afternoon. But that is ok because we planned on taking it pretty easy today. We had shrimp and fish and chips for dinner across the street at Anthony's and sat on the patio enjoying the view. Then we took a walk and found the trolley station that will take us to Sea World in the morning.
